The problem

Legacy file shares and early SharePoint sites accumulate duplicate documents, nested folder hierarchies nobody can navigate and permissions inherited from decisions made years ago. Search returns noise, retention is unenforceable and the content is unsuitable for grounding AI.

Our approach

Content is inventoried and classified before anything moves. A managed metadata model replaces deep folder nesting, permissions are rebuilt from current organisational reality rather than migrated, and retention labels are applied through Microsoft Purview. Migration runs in waves by business area with validation at each wave. Content owners are named, and review cycles are scheduled so the estate does not decay again.
